About Steady Dog Co.

A small business that comes to you.

We're new, and we're building the dog training business we'd want for our own dogs: one that gives a dog the best life it can have, a dog you can take anywhere. Honest, careful, and at your home.

What we believe.

  • Every dog deserves the best life. Walks you both enjoy, coffee at the cafe, the beach, the weekend away. A dog that can come along is a dog that gets to live more of your life with you.
  • You should be the most interesting thing in your dog's world. More interesting than the bird, the possum or the dog across the road. That's what we train.
  • Train where the problem happens. Your front door, your street, your park. Not a training centre your dog will never see again.
  • Teach the people, not just the dog. Everyone who walks or handles your dog learns the plan.
  • Be honest about what's realistic. We won't promise a "fixed" dog, a number of days, or anything we don't control.
  • Show our work. Every session is on video, remote collar and all, so you never have to take our word for it.
  • Know when it's not ours. If your dog needs a vet first, or a vet with behaviour qualifications, we'll tell you, and work alongside them.

Our approach

We're new, and we'll say so. Steady Dog Co. is a Brisbane business, based in Hamilton. Our first ten clients are founding clients, with three months of Walk Club free when they finish their program.

Mitch is our dog trainer. He's been training dogs for about two years, and has worked with more than 20 dogs. It started with his own dogs, and he does your assessment and training sessions himself.

Is this right for your dog?

We're right for you if your dog's problem is serious enough that you want it worked on properly, at home, by someone who'll be straight with you.

We're not the right first step if your dog may be in pain or need medication (see your vet first), or you're looking for a guarantee or a quick fix.

Tell us about your dog.

About a minute. We'll call you, usually within minutes in business hours.
