Programs

Two programs. One goal: a dog you can take anywhere.

Every program starts with an assessment at your home, which is also your first lesson. We recommend the one that fits your dog, tell you exactly what it costs, and you decide.

How our programs work.

  • It starts with the assessment. About 90 minutes at your home, $295. Mitch fits and sets one of his own remote collars for your dog, gives you your first lesson, and writes your plan. The $295 comes off your program if you enrol within 7 days.
  • Coached sessions where your dog struggles. Your street, the cafe strip, the dog park, your home. Not a training centre.
  • Group walks every week. You come along and handle your own dog while Mitch coaches, so you both practise around other dogs and people. About an hour.
  • Your dog's own collar is included, chosen for your dog, cut to size and fitted, and ordered when you enrol. We don't sell collars separately.
  • How we train: a balanced method: rewards, like treats, when your dog gets it right, and a remote collar as our main tool for barking, recall, chasing and manners. At handover, everyone at home learns to use the remote. Details in the FAQ.

Founding clients: the first 10 dogs

Three months of Walk Club free when you finish your program. It's our way of starting properly. It isn't a price cut, and it isn't linked to a review or testimonial.

After your program: Walk Club

For graduates only. Not sold on its own.

  • One group walk a week: $159 a month
  • Two group walks a week: $279 a month

Practice walks for you and your dog, with Mitch coaching and other graduates alongside, so the cafe, the recall and the "leave it" stay sharp. You handle your own dog, and each walk is about an hour.

Questions

Straight answers.

What are the group walks?

Practice walks of about an hour, once a week. You come with your dog and handle them yourself, while Mitch coaches and other dogs and people are around, which is the point. They're at a set time each week in a local park, confirmed with you when your program starts.

Which program is right for my dog?

If your dog pulls, chases or doesn't come back, but is fine around other dogs, it's usually Steady Walks. If your dog reacts to dogs, bikes or people, or you want the cafe and the emergency stop, it's Steady Anywhere. We'll recommend one at the assessment, once we've met your dog.

What will I pay in total?

Steady Walks is $2,450 and Steady Anywhere is $3,950, each including the $295 assessment when you enrol within 7 days. If you enrol later, the assessment is separate. A second dog in the same home adds $750.

Do you travel to me?

Yes. Brisbane, Ipswich and Logan are included. Beyond that, there's a travel fee, and we'll tell you what it is before you book.

Can you guarantee results?

No. We guarantee the process: an honest assessment, a written plan, careful coaching, everyone at home taught, and text support during the program and for 4 weeks after.

Do you offer single sessions?

No. Every program includes the assessment, coached sessions where your dog struggles and group walks, because one session on its own usually leaves you with a few tips and the rest up to you.

Can I pay in instalments?

We ask for payment in full, by bank transfer or card. If paying in full is hard for you, ask us. All our prices include GST.

Where would you like to take your dog?

It starts with a short application and a call.
